This Bohemian South Carolina Bridal Session was and still is one of my favorite sessions I have ever shot. Last October, Aaron and I spent a week in South Carolina visiting his sister Rachel and her husband Marshall. They had recently moved to a little town just north of Charleston and opened a landscaping and design business. October in South Carolina was so warm and beautiful compared to the cold we were experiencing up in Indiana, so their business was still thriving.
Aaron and I were able to stay with them and catch a glimpse of how well Marsh and Rach work together. Rachel is the main designer, she hand draws each design, plant, and structure for their clients, bringing detail and reality to their ideas. Then they both take to the soil and help the design come to life. It’s incredible to see how well they compliment each other in this business and in life itself! Check out some of their beautiful work here. 🙂
During our trip, we explored downtown Charleston, surfed at the beach, helped them landscape, ate some incredible food, and just spent good quality time catching up on life.
This session, however, was probably my favorite part. Rach and Marsh came home from work, got back into their wedding outfits, and we set off for Palmetto Park to catch the warm golden sun at the end of the day. It was incredible. These kinds of sessions bring back so much emotion not only from your wedding day, but also from the time spent together as husband and wife.
I can’t begin to express my thankfulness that I get to call them family!! Marsh & Rach are some of the most hardworking people I know. They are extremely talented and artistic and are always so hospitable.
Thankful for my new in-laws 🖤
